Désirée Perras
Désirée Perras is passionate about art. Since her young age, art has always been a part of her. Her spare time was spent learning to draw and to paint. Dry pastels allowed her to express the beauty of Canadian landscapes. Today, she paints with acrylics and water colours. She is currently experimenting with abstract art by inserting words into her artwork to communicate personal messages. Colour is to her, fundamental to art. Her creative process starts with colour.
Désirée has been working in graphic arts and multimedia for the Federal Government since 1989.
She studied graphic and visual arts at the St. Lawrence College, at the Université du Québec en Outaouais and at the Ottawa School of Art.
One of her works, comprising of four canvases, is currently exhibited at the Brasserie Étienne Brulé in Embrun.
